Valencia on the Southern coast of Spain is a city steeped in history. It was once the capital city - this was later changed to Madrid in the 16th Century but all the historical buildings remain in their former glory. It has some must-see galleries and museums including the astounding 'Palacio del Marques de Dos Aguas'.
What makes Valencia such an appealing destination is perhaps the fact that it gives you the opportunity to combine a city break with a beach break. Valencia has a beautiful beach and promenade - lined with what are reputed to be some of the best seafood restaurants to be found in the whole of Spain.
